stormmq, the enterprise‐class message queuing platform company, today announced that it has partnered with Kaazing, the leading innovator in HTML 5 WebSocket technology.

stormmq is integrating Kaazing’s WebSocket Gateway technology with its cloud messaging services to give businesses the ability to deploy sophisticated, real‐time and massively scalable applications to any end‐device.

A subscription‐based message queuing platform adhering to AMQP, the open standard for messaging middleware, stormmq offers Managed Services as a cost‐efficient alternative to proprietary, open source and in‐house message queuing solutions. As stormmq’s full‐duplex web communications backbone, Kaazing WebSocket Gateway technology bypasses artificial performance limits that exist between legacy server infrastructure and web browsers. The resulting elimination of workarounds, plug‐ins and gluecode frees developers to more cost‐effectively meet the demands of a modern web accessed by billions of devices.

“As more organizations begin to build and deploy truly real‐time Web applications, we knew it was important for us to partner with a company that understands the scalability, availability and low‐latency requirements of the next generation Web‐based business applications,” said Raphael Cohn, Managing Director, stormmq. “Our integration with Kaazing combines our cloud message queuing technology with the first enterprise‐class WebSocket offering, enabling us to reach users on a global scale, without worrying about service degradation or reliability issues.”

“We’re seeing a growing number of companies evaluating both WebSocket technology and cloud middleware solutions in order to rapidly reach large numbers of customers at a reasonable cost,” said Manuel Hoffmann, VP Business Development, Kaazing. “Our partnership with stormmq provides an ideal solution for any organization that needs to deliver real‐time information to any Web‐enabled devices seamlessly, reliably and securely, with the assurance the solution can grow with increased demand.”

stormmq is an innovative Message Queue platform designed from the ground up to be delivered as either a cloud, co‑located or hosted service. Built by a development team with over 20 years experience in designing, implementing and managing mission critical Message Queuing systems for large multinational service providers and financial services organisations, stormmq offers a unique usage based pricing model that is the lowest in its class backed by a feature set that leads the industry.

Based in the UK and delivered from ISO 9001 approved data centres, stormmq is the fastest growing cloud platform for Message Queuing and is quickly building a reputation for innovation, low cost and rock solid performance that is changing the industry.

Kaazing gives companies the power to quickly deploy distributed, dynamic and massively scalable Web applications. Enabling full-duplex, real-time Web communication based on the HTML 5 WebSocket standard, Kaazing WebSocket Gateway allows seamless and reliable extension of any TCP-based messaging protocols to the Web, dramatically reducing backend infrastructure and operational costs. Founded in 2007 and based in Mountain View, CA, Kaazing is also the leading provider of worldwide training in HTML 5 and WebSocket development.

I’ve designed, developed and burnt the midnight oil on the graveyard support shift from large systems for banks to troubleshooting telcos to pricing electricity in Singapore. The one thing that was always missing was ‘ready to use’ Message Queuing. Message Queues you could set up and tear down yourself without bureaucracy or crazy costs. Message queues that worked with anything. Then it dawned. Message Queuing should be a cloud based service.
